Chimney Mountain Furniture evolved out of one man’s dream of making a living doing what he loved to do – building custom furniture. In 1997, Jan McLaughlin set up shop in the beautiful North Georgia Mountains, offering a custom design service for one-of-a-kind, handcrafted furniture. To date, he has built over 5000 pieces that can be found in homes and furniture galleries throughout the United States.

While he and his wife, Amy, have recently relocated to Livermore, Maine, in order to be near Amy’s family, Jan’s dream and Chimney Mountain Furniture are alive and well.
